Profiteroles


Profiteroles are small puffy breads or rolls. They are also known as cream puffs. They have air pockets inside them. This is very easy dough to make and is used to make Eclairs, European donuts among other things.

Profiteroles are served with sweet cream, chocolate sauce, powdered sugar, caramel, or with ice cream. They are very yummyyy with savory filling too.

Ingredients:-


  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan Cheese,
  • 3 tbsp Asiago Cheese,
  • Pinch Black Pepper, ground
  • Pinch of Oregano
  • Pinch Salt




Method:-

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Heat souce pan on medium-hight heat. Bring water to a boil.

3. Add buter and salt, melt it completely.

4. Add flour and stir for 1 minutes on medium heat.

5. Crack 1 egg at a time in the dough.

6. Mix very well with wooden spoon.

7. Add parmesan, asiago cheese, pepper, and oregno, and mix.

8. Transfer dough to a ziplock and snip one corner. Pipe 1 inch mounds two inch apart.

9. Bake them for 35-40 minutes.



10. Allow the profiteroles to cool completely.

11. Cut off the top of Profiteroles and fill them with your favorite filling and serve.

Irish Bread


What is better than fresh home-made bread huh ??!! This is simple and easy to make bread from Ireland. This Irish bread is also known as "Soda Bread", crusty on the outside and cake-like tender on the inside. Irish bread is served routinely at Irish meals, from breakfast to high tea. The rounded slices make them tasty partners for tea, soup, sandwich, or eggs. You can also apply them with butter, honey, or marmalade.

Ingredients:-


  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp Butter, room temperature
  • 1-1/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp Milk




Method:-

1. Preheat oven on 375 degrees.

2. In large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, wheat flour, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.

3. Add room temperature butter. The mixture should resemble the coarse crumbs.

4. Add buttermilk and stir, only enough to moisten dry ingredients.

5. With floured hands, shape dough into a flat ball about 2 inches high.

6. Put on greased baking sheet and apply milk with pastry brush on top of the bread.

7. Take sharp knife and shallow an X in the top of the loaf, spreading across the whole way.

8. Bake for 40 minutes or until bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

9. Let it cool a little bit and cut into thick slices.

10. Serve warm or room temperature.

Spicy Tomato & Olive Focaccia Bread


Focaccia is famous Italian flat bread. This bread is usually seasoned and topped with onion, tomato, olive, rarely meat, and cheese. The most popular toppings are herbs like rosemary, oregano, and thyme. The dough of focaccia is very similar to pizza dough. Focaccia is usually eaten accompanied by olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar. In Italy, people eat focaccia on Christmas Eve for good luck. Focaccia is perfect for sandwiches, either cold or warm. Focaccia dough can be used for pizza dough, bread for the Panini, or sometimes for sweet sandwich.

Ingredients:-


  • 2-3/4 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp dry Active Yeast
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion Flakes
  • 1 tsp dry Thyme
  • 1 tsp dry Oregano
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper, ground
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Water, warm

-- For Topping

  • 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 4 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp Pecorino Romano cheese, grated
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 8-10 Black Olives, sliced
  • 1 tsp red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Herbes De Provence

Method:-
1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, yeast, thyme, oregano, pepper, garlic powder, onion flakes in large bowl.

2. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix well until dough pull together.

3. On floured surface, knead the dough until smooth and elastic.

4. Put the dough in lightly greased bowl. Coat dough with little oil and cover with a damp cloth.

5. Let the dough rise for 25-30 minutes in warm place.

6. Preheat oven at 450 degree. Punch the dough for 2-3 times after 25 minutes.

7. Grease baking sheet. Place dough on baking sheet, so that its thickness is around 1-inch.

8. Brush olive oil on top of dough.

9. Sprinkle some salt, Parmesan cheese, Pecorino Romano cheese , herbes de provonce, red pepper flakes, tomato slices, and olive slices. Make sure to remove tomato seeds.

9. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

10. Serve warm or room temperature with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on side.

Italian Aaloo Paratha


This is a unique dish. It is Indian aaloo paratha, made with heavy Italian touch. Its really a marriage of two different cuisine. The filling is prepared using common Italian herbs. The dough, however, is prepared with our Indian wheat flour. This dish can be eaten as weekend's late breakfast or heavy afternoon snack. Be sure serve hot for that wonderful melted cheese aroma.

Ingredients:-

-- For Dough


  • 2-1/2 cups of Wheat Flour
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp black-pepper
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste

--For Filling

  • 2 medium Boiled Potato, grated
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1-1/2 tbsp Chopped Black Olives
  • 1-1/2 tbsp Red Chopped Bell Pepper
  • 2 Chopped Garlic Cloves
  • 1 cup Shredded Fontina Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Sour Cream
  • 1-1/2 tbsp mix Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 2-3 tbsp Marinara Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste


Method:-

1. Knead semi-soft wheat dough and keep aside.
2. Take large bowl and mix all filling ingredients. Taste and adjust seasonings.
3. Make paratha, like regular aaloo paratha.
4. Sprinkle sliced olives, parmesan cheese, and chopped basil on each hot paratha.
4. Serve hot with warm marinara sauce on side. If not a Marinara sauce fan, use the same recipe with either Pesto or Alfredo sauce.
